Overview

The Bayonet takes its name and shape from blades designed to be mounted on the muzzle of a rifle rather than carried on their own. This particular modification was developed in the United States in 1984, and the in-game model is based on the Smith & Wesson SW2B knife. It belonged to the original set of knives available when knife skins were first introduced. Like all knives, it is never bought outright; it only reaches an inventory as a rare special-item drop, unboxed from a long list of cases that includes the CS:GO Weapon Case, the Chroma Case, the Gamma Case, and the Revolver Case, among several others tied to past operations. Every finish made for it is graded Covert rarity.

Skins

The wiki lists 35 skins for the Bayonet, all of them Covert rarity, the single grade every knife finish receives. Named patterns among the rarest include Blue Steel, Boreal Forest, Bright Water, and Damascus Steel, names that also turn up on several of the game's other knives.
