About the ★ Bowie Knife
Overview · Skins
Overview
The Bowie Knife is a fixed-blade melee weapon whose real-world design dates to the early 19th century, based here on the Aitor Oso Negro knife. Its shape gave rise to the surname-turned-nickname of the musician David Bowie, who is said to have taken his stage name from this style of blade. This knife has been available since February 17, 2019, when Operation Wildfire began, and like every knife it cannot be bought with in-game currency; it only turns up as a rare special-item drop, unboxed from cases such as the Dreams & Nightmares Case, the Spectrum Case, the Spectrum 2 Case, and the Operation Riptide Case. Every skin made for it carries Covert rarity, the same grade applied to all knife finishes.
Skins
The wiki lists 35 skins for the Bowie Knife, every one of them graded Covert rarity like all knife finishes in the game. Named patterns among the rarest include Autotronic, Black Laminate, Bright Water, and Damascus Steel, names shared with several of the game's other knives despite belonging to a different blade.
