About the FAMAS
Overview · Skins
Overview
The FAMAS is an automatic assault rifle issued to the Counter-Terrorist side for $2,250. Its full name comes from the Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne in France, which produced the original rifle starting in 1971, and CS2 gives it both a burst-fire mode and full automatic. It holds 25 rounds per magazine with 90 in reserve and cycles at about 666 rounds per minute, dealing 26 to 37 damage to the body and 100 to 120 to the head. Burst fire keeps it light on recoil and accurate, and the price is modest, but damage runs low and accuracy suffers noticeably once it is switched to full automatic.
Skins
The wiki lists 44 skins for the FAMAS. Mil-Spec Grade leads with 13, Restricted follows with 8, Classified and Industrial Grade each supply 7, Consumer Grade adds 6, and Covert the remaining 3. Named entries among the rarest include Bad Trip, Commemoration, Roll Cage, and Afterimage.
