Overview
The Karambit is a curved knife held in a reverse grip, a shape that began as a melee weapon for silat, a martial art from Southeast Asia. The in-game model draws on the United Cutlery Honshu Karambit, and it carries several unique inspect animations that set it apart from simpler blades. It was part of the earliest set of knives added to the game and remains one of the most frequently requested knives among the community that trades them. Like every knife, it cannot be bought directly with in-game currency; it only appears as a rare special-item drop, unboxed from cases such as the CS:GO Weapon Case, the Chroma Case, the Gamma Case, and the Revolver Case, among several others. Every finish made for it carries Covert rarity.

The wiki lists 35 skins for the Karambit, all of them Covert rarity like every knife finish in the game. Named patterns among the rarest include Autotronic, Bright Water, Crimson Web, and Damascus Steel, names that also appear on several of the game's other knives.
