About the M4A1-S
Overview · Skins
Overview
The M4A1-S is a silenced automatic assault rifle issued to the Counter-Terrorist side for $2,900. It stems from the M16A1, a rifle fielded by the United States, and CS2 gives it a built-in suppressor along with 25 rounds per magazine and 75 in reserve. Firing at about 600 rounds per minute, it deals 28 to 41 damage to the body and 92 to 132 to the head, though unlike its unsilenced counterpart it cannot down a helmeted opponent with a single headshot. High accuracy, light recoil, and a low weight rating make it easier to control, at the cost of a smaller magazine, and by usage figures it is chosen more often than the M4A4.
Skins
The wiki lists 46 skins for the M4A1-S. Classified leads with 14, Covert and Restricted each supply 11, and Mil-Spec and Industrial Grade contribute 5 apiece; there is no Consumer Grade finish. Named entries among the rarest include Chantico's Fire, Cyrex, Golden Coil, and Imminent Danger.
