About the ★ M9 Bayonet
Overview · Skins
Overview
The M9 Bayonet, like the standard Bayonet, is shaped after blades meant to be mounted on a rifle's muzzle rather than carried alone. This version was developed in the United States in 1984, and the in-game knife follows the Smith & Wesson SW3B design. It belonged to the earliest set of knives added to the game and has since become a well-recognized item within the trading community, commanding some of the highest resale prices of any knife. Like every knife, it is never bought directly; it only appears as a rare special-item drop, unboxed from cases such as the CS:GO Weapon Case, the Chroma Case, the Gamma Case, and the Revolver Case, among several others tied to past operations. Every finish made for it carries Covert rarity.
Skins
The wiki lists 35 skins for the M9 Bayonet, all of them Covert rarity like every knife finish in the game. Named patterns among the rarest include Black Laminate, Boreal Forest, Case Hardened, and Crimson Web, names that also appear on several of the game's other knives.
