Design
A red pattern made of offset X shapes is applied across the MP5-SD's exterior. The X's repeat in a staggered arrangement rather than lining up in even rows, covering the housing in a consistent red print.
Float and wear
Float on this finish runs from 0 to 0.75, covering Factory New through Battle-Scarred. The red X pattern reads clearly at low float, while wear toward the top of that range scuffs the print and fades its red tone.
