About the SG 553
Overview · Skins
Overview
The SG 553 is a scoped automatic assault rifle issued to the Terrorist side for $3,000. It is modeled on the SIG SG 550, a Swiss rifle from 1980, and holds 30 rounds per magazine with 90 in reserve, cycling at about 666 rounds per minute. Each hit, whether to the body or the head, can deal anywhere from 37 to 120 damage, and the rifle is the only one in the game with full, 100 percent armor penetration. Its scope adds accuracy at long distances to match that penetration, but the price is steep, recoil builds quickly, and bullet spread widens sharply whenever it is fired in bursts.
Skins
The wiki lists 38 skins for the SG 553. Mil-Spec Grade leads with 13, Restricted and Consumer Grade each add 8, Industrial Grade contributes 5, and Classified accounts for the remaining 4; the rifle has no Covert finish. Named entries among the rarest include Colony IV, Cyrex, Hazard Pay, and Integrale.
